Reconstruction Project Manager

Single Source Disaster Recovery Specialists is seeking a full time, qualified reconstruction project manager. This position is responsible for the overall success of a wide range of reconstruction projects of varying size and levels of complexity for both residential and commercial properties. He or she prepares job estimates, manages project scheduling, supervises subcontractors, communicates with customers and insurance adjusters and oversees budget and quality control.

The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of Xactimate estimating software and previous project management experience that includes supervisory responsibilities. Previous experience with water/fire/smoke damage or any other emergency/disaster recovery or repair is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts initial project assessment (meets with clients and adjusters, writes scope, takes photos, etc.) and prepares/presents estimate to client/insurer
  • Prepares job schedule, budget, and materials list
  • Performs inspections/site walkthroughs to identify progress and address potential issues/impacts as early as possible and to ensure project adheres to timeline
  • Supervises all project staff and subcontractors
  • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately
  • Ensures all company employees and subcontractors follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Prepares reports and/or presentations for management/clients as needed
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees
  • Performs other duties/tasks as required and assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with water/fire/smoke damage or any other emergency/disaster recovery or repair highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate estimating software
  • Project management experience that includes supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing and able to work after hours and on weekends as needed
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and others
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Strong sense of integrity and honesty
